Geotechnology Donates To Engineers’ Club of St. Louis

February 20th, 2013

St. Louis, MO (January 11, 2013) –

Geotechnology, Inc., a leading provider of geotechnical and environmental engineering, materials testing, geophysics, water resource management, and drilling services, announced today the donation of $5,000 to the Engineers’ Club of St. Louis Foundation. The donation is made on behalf of Phil Jozwiak, PE, and John Baker, PE, both longtime Geotechnology engineers who retired in 2012. Mr. Baker helped found the company in 1984 with Mike Alizadeh, Ron Ecklekamp, Don McQueen and Pat Goeke. Mr. Jozwiak is a past president of the Engineers Club of St. Louis.

The donation is targeted for the Club’s $2.5 million dollar campaign to renovate the organization’s headquarters at 4359 Lindell Avenue. The renovation will provide new space to use when working with local schools and businesses to identify and implement effective ways to encourage greater scholarship in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

“Geotechnology is proud to be among the first to donate to this worthy project on behalf of Phil Jozwiak and John Baker,” said Ed Alizadeh, President & CEO, Geotechnology, Inc. “Both Phil and John understand that our future success – and our nation’s technological advantage – depend on a constant supply of highly trained, highly capable technical talent, and that’s what this campaign is all about.”

Club members plan to work with both employers and schools to encourage math and science study, provide connections to the kinds of jobs that will be available with proper training, and mentor students who are heading towards STEM careers.
