Geotechnology maintains a complete USACE Validated and AASHTO Certified QA/QC soil mechanics laboratory managed by a professional engineer with more than 15 years experience in soils and materials testing. The laboratory includes not only basic equipment for determining routine index properties but also the advanced equipment necessary for determining engineering properties. All testing is conducted in accordance with the latest ASTM standards. Geotechnology uses triaxial and consolidation equipment manufactured by Durham Geo Slope Indicator and GeoTac. Data is electronically reduced using Excel™ spreadsheets or gINT. Most recently Geotechnology added a Thermal Conductivity/Resistivity Meter, which will measure the heat dispersed or retained around conduits so (cond) can be sized correctly, it will also measure grout which measures disbursement or retention of heat for material encapsulating conduit.
