CEO, Professional Engineer and Licensed Attorney:
Ed D. Alizadeh, P.E., J.D. is President and CEO of Geotechnology, Inc., a professional engineering firm with headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri and branch offices in Memphis, TN, Fairview Heights, IL, Overland Park, KS, Oxford, MS, Jonesboro, AR, Erlanger & Lexington, KY and Cincinnati & Dayton, OH. He is responsible for management of the firm’s engineering activities and administrative operations. His technical background includes extensive experience in environmental consulting including managing major projects such as the expansion of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport which involved the assessment of over 1700 homes and 50 businesses that were displaced.
Ed Alizadeh Joins Geotechnical Leader, Geotechnology:
Ed joined Geotechnology in 1989 as a staff engineer after spending 5 years as a petroleum engineer with Amoco Production Company in New Mexico. Geotechnology was just entering the underground storage tank (UST) assessment and remediation market and Ed was immediately thrust into that work. Geotechnology was quickly able to utilize Ed’s understanding of the petroleum business and our focus on responsive service to get a foothold in the UST market. Within five years, Ed was promoted to Project Manager and then Environmental Department Manager.
Ed Alizadeh Promoted To President:
In 1996, Ed was promoted to President of Geotechnology. He has overseen the continued growth of Geotechnology including the opening of branch offices in Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas, Mississippi and acquiring substantially all of the assets of two firms expanding the firm’s geographic footprint into Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio. Ed is a firm believer in strategic planning and the organization has effectively used that process to develop successful initiatives resulting in substantial growth of the firm. He also firmly adheres to and promotes our corporate core values of responsiveness, quality, partnership, opportunity, integrity, and safety.
Mr. Alizadeh’s Charitable Contributions and Professional Leadership:
Ed is also heavily involved in furthering the engineering profession and helping charitable causes in our community. Mr. Alizadeh has been very active in ASFE, the Geoprofessional Business Association, which is a national organization representing the business interests of the geotechnical and environmental consulting industry. Ed served as the president of ASFE from April 2008-March 2009; the first time a St. Louis resident has served in that capacity. Mr. Alizadeh also served as Chairman of the Consulting Engineers Council of Missouri (ACECMo) from July 2011-June 2012 concluding 8 years on the board of directors. Ed is on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity. Ed is also a member of the Engineer’s Club of St. Louis and the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers. He is a strong believer in giving back to the community and has participated in the MS 150 bike ride, cancer walks and many others. Mr. Alizadeh is most involved with Kids In the Middle Charity, where he was selected as 2016 Champion of Kids Award Winner. Kids in the Middle is a St. Louis-based charity that provides counseling services for children and parents whose families are going through transition primarily due to divorce. Ed served on the Board of Directors for Kids in the Middle for seven years including over two years as the President.
Education and Achievements:
Mr. Alizadeh earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in 1984 and a J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law in 1996. He is a registered professional engineer in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa and North Carolina and is a licensed attorney in the state of Missouri.
