Geotechnology, LLC COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan

COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan

Geotechnology is actively managing our business operations and staff to limit the impacts of COVID-19 on services that we provide to our clients.  Our work is considered essential to critical infrastructure projects, so we are continuing to operate; but like most other firms, in modified mode.  We are committed to providing our outstanding professional engineering, testing and drilling services to our clients across the country, as permitted by the government.  Geotechnology’s primary focus is to protect the health and well-being of our staff, as well as client personnel, other contractors, consultants and vendors on jobsites.

Preparedness

Geotechnology is taking responsible steps to avoid the spread of COVID-19 including:

  • Following Federal, State and local orders and guidelines related to conducting our business;
  • Employing recommended hygiene and social distancing recommendations put forth by the CDC and State and local health officials.
  • Providing office-based and field-based staff specific guidelines designed to prevent contracting and transmitting COVID-19;
  • Instructing employees not to report to work if they are feeling ill and to contact their supervisor and healthcare provider;
  • Instructing employees who begin to feel ill while at work to go home and contact their healthcare provider;
  • Restricting most non-project related travel;
  • Eliminating air travel;
  • Significantly limiting internal and client in-person meetings and instead encouraging virtual meetings;
  • Restricting non-essential visitors from our offices;
  • Requiring office-based staff to work from home, to the extent possible;
  • Increasing cleaning by janitorial vendors;
  • Following the prescriptive measures on jobsites as outlined by our clients.

Communication

Our Senior Management team meets remotely each week to discuss these preparedness measures as well as the ongoing operations and management of our firm.  These meetings provide guidance regarding the actions needed to protect our employees while continuing to serve our client’s needs.

Our local management teams continue to meet weekly (remotely now) to discuss project workloads such that resources can be scheduled and allocated accordingly. These schedules are communicated to Geotechnology Project Managers as well as individual staff via their Group Manager.

Frequent communication with our clients will greatly aid in timely delivery of our professional and technical services.  We encourage all our clients to reach out to your Geotechnology Project Manager if you have any questions or wish to discuss the status of your project.

Stay well and be safe.
