Dan Furgason, P.E. is the Geotechnical Manager of Geotechnology’s East Region. Dan’s vast experience has bred many responsibilities over the years. These roles have included supervision of staff, senior review of engineering and construction testing reports, mentoring staff, personnel decisions, business development, and coordination of work with other offices.
Dan’s clients have included ODOT, civil engineering firms, commercial developers, architects, counties, and various other municipalities.
Dan Furgason’s Background
Mr. Furgason has over 33 years of geotechnical engineering experience. His past projects include roadway subgrade remediation, pavement design, bridges, rock cut slope design, and landslide remediation. Additionally, Dan has experience with residential and commercial buildings, parking garages, elevated storage tanks, water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan. His professional affiliations include the American Council of Engineering Companies (Cincinnati, Ohio), the American Society of Civil Engineers (Cincinnati, Ohio), the American Society of Highway Engineers (Cincinnati, Ohio) and the Society of American Military Engineers (Dayton, Ohio).
For nearly all of his 33 years of geotechnical engineering experience, Dan has managed engineering staff and other technical and support staff. Furthermore, Dan and his team remain dedicated to providing quality results for clients in a timely and efficient manner.
