St. Louis, MO – Geotechnology, Inc.’s Vice President, Philip Jozwiak, PE, was awarded the 2012 Engineer of the Year Award by the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers – St. Louis Chapter. Since 1995 Jozwiak has been responsible for the overall direction and timely completion of the firm’s large scale projects related to transportation and infrastructure. Mr. Jozwiak takes a proactive approach to his work and encourages his team members to take the initiative on projects and work together to take on difficult geotechnical challenges and develop their skills.
Throughout his career Mr. Jozwiak has been very active in professional organizations, serving as past president of the Engineers’ Club of St. Louis, past president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)-St. Louis Section, past president of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) -St. Louis Post, and regional vice president of the Missouri River Region, SAME. He has served on national committees for ASCE and SAME, and maintains active membership in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Missouri, Transportation Engineers Association of Missouri, American Public Works Association, Water Environment Federation, Missouri Association of Sewer Districts, and the Missouri Transportation and Development Council.
