St. Louis, MO (November 11, 2014) – Geotechnology, Inc., a leading provider of geotechnical and environmental engineering, geophysics, water resource management, construction materials testing, and drilling services, announced today the promotions of Michael Roark and Joe Darmody to executive management positions in the company.
Joe Darmody, previously Geotechnology’s Environmental Group Manager, will move into the newly-created position of Corporate Risk Manager for the company. In his new role, Darmody will work with all of the Geotechnology offices and employees on safety and risk management. He will be based out of the St. Louis office. Darmody, who has been with the company since 2006, has a Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene.
Michael Roark, a registered Geologist, will assume the management of the firm’s Environmental Group. He succeeds Joe Darmody in the position. Roark, a fifteen-year veteran at Geotechnology will oversee the firm’s sixteen-person Environmental group. He most recently served as a senior project manager on the environmental side of the business. He has a Master’s degree in Geophysics.
