Ed Alizadeh, Geotechnology president, and Steve Fults, project manager of the non-destructive testing group talked about some of the career pathways available to the graduating students of the AGC’s Construction Career Center. The first career presented included engineering, which coincides with the CCC’s new curriculum pathway to engineering called Project Lead the Way that will launch in Fall 2009. The second pathway presented featured construction materials testing and observation and non-destructive testing, which are quality control / quality assurance professions necessary in the construction industry. Students were able to ask questions and handle testing samples and equipment applied in the field.
