Miami University RH North Quad Project Background

Services included geotechnical exploration, special inspections and testing for compacted densities and moisture for earthwork construction and the building pad. Geotechnology performed reviews of depths, sockets, and reinforced concrete of drilled shafts as well as subgrade preparation and reinforced concrete for footings, grade beams, walls and slabs. We also performed masonry construction and structure steel reviews of welded and bolted connections. Concrete was tested for slump, temperature and air content while cylinders were made for compressive strength determination for each day’s pour.
