Jewish Hospital East Project Background
The conducted geotechnical exploration to evaluate the general subsurface profile at the site. We also wanted to evaluate the engineering properties of the soils and bedrock. These studies allowed us to develop recommendations for the geotechnical aspects of the design and construction of the project. The scope of services included a site reconnaissance, geotechnical borings and laboratory testing. We also conducted engineering analyses and preparation of the report.
The subsurface exploration consisted of five borings, with two additional rock core borings drilled at a later date to further explore the condition of the bedrock.
Construction materials testing services we performed included special inspector daily reports, drilled piers, grade beams, concrete testing, masonry testing, steel testing and floor flatness.
*Services prior to 2015 performed as Thelen Associates, Inc.
