KC P&L Utility Waste Landfill Project Background
Two acceptance reports were submitted to and approved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources which provided inspection and testing documentation.
Two utility landfill cells needed to be constructed concurrently due to the mandated clean closure of ash ponds on site and operational changes. A wet construction season and coordinating with multiple concurrent projects on-site also complicated the construction process. Geotechnology’s responsiveness and experience with similar projects provided real time solutions to issues that occurred during this large scale project.
